SCAS Parents and Friends
The St Columba Anglican School Parents and Friends Association offers members of the SCAS community the opportunity to develop friendships within the school community and to participate in and contribute to the life of the school.
Community spirit is greatly valued at St Columba – much of this community spirit is attributable to the volunteers who work for the school through the P&F Association. The P&F also enhance the school’s facilities and resources by generating funds to assist in their purchase.
Old Scholars
Each year at our Graduation ceremony our departing Year 12s are issued with a “St Columba Old Scholars’ Association” (SCOSA) badge as a symbol of our desire to have an ongoing connection with our graduates.
Past students play an important role in the School community. They can offer valuable support, advice and assistance, and as mentors can provide current students with advice as they share their experiences of the world. We have been fortunate to have had several former students complete teaching practicums with us, complete traineeships with us and even work for us.
Academic assistance
Our teaching staff offer assistance with general learning, English, Mathematics and Science. Students can receive assistance with revision of their class work, homework or with their upcoming assessment tasks. The program is designed to foster and develop an independent work ethic in students.
Giving to St Columba
Donations are welcomed at any time to help provide the best educational opportunities and facilities for our students.
We offer several ways in which to give to the School that provide tax benefits to the donor. There are four Tax Deductible Funds:
- the Scholarship Fund
- the Building Fund
- the Library Fund
- the recently established SCAS Foundation.
You can direct your gift to the Fund of your choice and all donations of $2 and above are Tax Deductible.
